We want the process to be as easy for you as possible that’s why our experienced team take care of everything for you and talk you through the whole process step-by-step.

1. Survey

We'll survey your property, listen to your requirements and then advise and explain what is possible.

2. Quotation

We'll prepare a quotation based on your requirements and the survey. We'll also price match any like-for-like quote.

3. Architects

We'll arrange for our architects to create the neccessary plans for your approval.

4. Your Approval

Once you are happy with everything, we'll ask for your approval.

5. Planning Permission

We can advise on whether you need planning permission, not all loft conversions need it.

Our Process

Phase Two

Building your loft conversion

It’s time to start building your loft conversion to spec. We do our best to maiximise disruption and stick to timelines.

1. Prepare

First thing is to prepare your property for construction, that'll involve scaffolding and materials.

2. Removal

We'll remove your existing roof ready for the new one.

3. Outer

We then begin work on building the outer structure of the loft.

4. Inner

Once the outer loft is complete we begin the inner section installing plumbing, electrics etc.

5. Installation

We will then start to install the bathroom (if required) and any fittings and fixtures.

6. Finish

After installation has completed, we will then plaster the walls and get the loft ready for decorating.

FAQs

How much does a loft conversion cost?

Depending on size and type of loft conversion but generally at least £40,000 upwards. The bigger and more complicated the conversion the higher the cost.

Do I need planning permission?

This depends on your location and type of property. If your house isn’t in a designated area, then usually permitted development is used and no planning is required. If you are unsure then feel free to contact us and we will be able to offer free advice.

Do I need to hire an architect?

No you do not. Pro Loft Conversions provide a complete solution so we’ll take care of everything for you.

What is a Party Wall Agreement & do I need one?

A party wall agreement is required if your property is a terraced or semi-detached property and we will be working within or close to your neighbours boundary. We will of course advise on this in our site survey.

How long does a loft conversion take?

This depends a numerous factors including size and type of loft but usually around 6 weeks.

Does a loft conversion add value to my property?

Yes it sure can! Depending on size, type and property location, usually a loft conversion can add over 20% to the value of your property.
